Wedding planning can be a massive job and for many modern brides and grooms – the stress and burden of making sure things run smoothly coming up to their big day (and during!) can be lifted by the efforts of a dedicated wedding coordinator. This job requires a highly organised and professional outlook, and is one of the categories awarded at the Australian Bridal Industry Academy (ABIA) awards.
Last Friday our own Portsea Hotel’s Shannon Lott scored 2nd place for Wedding Coordinator and Hotel Reception at the 17th Victorian Annual Bridal Awards, and a big congratulations are in order!
The Runner Up placement was SO CLOSE to a win – with a score of 99.81% trumped by a meagre .02% by winner, Bram Leigh Receptions. Shannon will no doubt be highly motivated to push herself that little bit more in order to take home the top spot next year.
She said that the Portsea Hotel received almost 100% scores from all of their brides, in every category.
“Unfortunately we missed out on a win this year but by such a tiny amount! We are still extremely happy with coming second for Wedding Coordinator & Hotel Reception in Victoria.”
Portsea Hotel also placed as the second runner up for ceremony venue.
“We are lucky to have such an awesome wedding crew at the Hotel that truly care about each wedding. You only have to look at our Facebook page to see we only ever receive 100% positive feedback from all of our brides and grooms and that is what matters most” Shannon said.
The Awards event was held at the exquisite Leonda by the Yarra in Melbourne, where 37 of the best wedding businesses in the state were announced – as determined solely by the newlyweds of Victoria. It was attended by more than 300 guests.
