The Raffles Revival

BACK TO NEWS

Perth’s beloved Raffles Hotel has been treated to a new beginning that pays tribute to its past while refreshing the hotel’s offering for a modern clientele. After three months of substantial renovations the art-deco heritage-listed hotel re-opened to the public on Wednesday 17 December 2014. A large queue of eager patrons waited outside the Hotel for the doors to open at 6 p.m.

The new look Raffles has impressed many in the few days since it’s unveiling and is as popular as ever – with bookings streaming in and the Luxe Package NYE party sold out.

The latest incarnation of the heritage-listed art deco hotel, which was first built in 1896, has been undertaken by multi-disciplinary design studio Projects of Imagination (POI). POI last worked with CLG to develop the multi award-winning Brookfield Place drinking and dining precinct – Print Hall.

A huge congratulations to the entire Raffles team and all external parties who worked tirelessly to bring it all together. Read more in this feature story in the West Australian.
