Hops, spice and all things nice at Melbourne Food and Wine Festival

BACK TO NEWS

The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival is no longer all about food and wine – Colonial Brewing Co is excited to be the official beer of this much-loved Melbourne festival.

Colonial Brewing Co is proud to partner MFWF as the exclusive beer for the 2016 event. The partnership is a perfect opportunity to share our passion and love of food and beer with Melbourne’s iconic food culture and ever expanding hospitality landscape.

We’ll be presenting our two hero brews – the Colonial Kolsch Draught and Small ale – in cans at events throughout the festival, including World’s Longest Lunch, City Cellar and Hub, with our very own Colonial Caravan serving draught and tinnies at special locations.

Founded in 2004 in Margaret River, our 100% Australian owned and made brews have expanded to the East Coast of Australia and found another place to call home at 89 Bertie Street Port Melbourne, the former site of Matilda Bay Brewery.  A perfect reason to celebrate at the MFWF!

Named as one of Halliday Magazine’s Top 5 Breweries to watch in 2016 , it’s an exciting new step for Colonial Brewing Co, and a great opportunity to share some of our new firm favourites amongst craft beer lovers nation-wide including our Colonial Kolsch and Small Ales took out #76 and #34 in GABS Festival Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers of 2015.

Jarrod Stivala, one of Colonial Brewing Co’s beer guru’s, had this to say about the partnership with the MFWF:

“The festival brings another great excuse to have a beer with your mates “

You can find our beers at iconic venues Lucky Coq, Botanical and The Portsea Hotel, as well as hot new haunts Hawker Hall, The Local Taphouse, Biggie Smalls and more.

We look forward to sharing our beer with you …
