The Brewery and the Brigade

BACK TO NEWS

The Rosa Brook Fire Brigade look after the area where Colonial Brewery Co. sits. There’s about 30 volunteers in the brigade, including the brewery’s venue manager (and the Brigade’s captain) Richard Moroney, and they’ve been busy.

Bushfire season has well and truly started this year, and the brigade has been tasked with helping to fight bushfires and relieve Perth fire fighters outside of their patch when the going gets tough.

A staggering 26,000 volunteers in Western Australia give up their time to protect homes, properties and lives from the destructive power of fire. We hope the brigade can retire to the brewery for a well-deserved cold one after the smoke clears.
